(7) P u l l the brake pad r e t a i n i n g p i n out of the cal-
iper (Fig. 72), then remove the anti-rattle spring (Fig.
72) from the caliper. C h e c k c o n d i t i o n o f sleeves
a n d r e t a i n i n g p i n s , r e p l a c e i f r e t a i n i n g p i n s a r e
c o r r o d e d , o r sleeves a r e w o r n o r d a m a g e d .

(8) Slide outboard brake shoe toward rear of vehi-
cle u n t i l the brake shoe clears the top of the caliper
(Fig. 73). Then, lift brake shoe up and out between
caliper and outboard side of b r a k i n g disc (Fig. 73).

(9) Slide inboard brake shoe toward rear of vehicle
u n t i l the brake shoe clears the top of the caliper (Fig.
74). Then, lift brake shoe up and out between caliper
and inboard side of rotor (Fig. 74).

(10) Remove the brake rotor from the rear hub/
bearing while sliding i t out from rear brake caliper
assembly.
(11) Remove the hub n u t (Fig. 75) m o u n t i n g the
hub/bearing to the yoke.
(12) Remove the washer (Fig. 76) from the hub/
bearing and yoke.
(13) Remove the 4 bolts (Fig. 77) attaching the
hub/bearing to the knuckle.
(14) The hub/bearing should separate from
the
yoke and the knuckle by p u l l i n g on i t by hand. I f the
hub/bearing w i l l not separate from yoke and knuckle
by hand, use Puller, Special Tool CT-1003 (Fig. 78), to
remove the hub/bearing.
(15) Remove the hub/bearing from the knuckle.
