(5) Reattach the stabilizer bar to the frame (Fig.
92). Tighten and torque the retainer attaching bolts
to 68 N - m (50 ft. lbs.).
(6) Lower the vehicle.
TOE LINK
REMOVE
(1) Raise vehicle on jackstands or centered on a
frame contact type hoist. See Hoisting i n the L u b r i -
cation and Maintenance section of this m a n u a l for
the required l i f t i n g procedure to be used for this
vehicle.
(2) Remove the wheel and tire from the side of the
vehicle r e q u i r i n g toe l i n k replacement.
(3) Remove the toe l i n k outer tie rod to knuckle
cotter p i n and castle n u t (Fig. 94).

(4) Remove the toe l i n k outer tie rod from
the
knuckle using Puller, Special Tool C-3894A (Fig. 95).

(5) Remove the toe l i n k to frame inner and outer
attaching bolts and nuts (Fig. 96).

(6) Remove the toe l i n k from the vehicle by sliding
i t out of its m o u n t i n g bracket and " U " channel, t h e n
out through rear wheel opening.
INSPECTION
Inspect the rear toe l i n k for any looseness at flex
j o i n t and for damaged flex j o i n t boots. I f either of
these conditions exist, the rear toe l i n k assembly
must be replaced.
