FOR
BATTERY
VOLTAGE:
(1) Remove gauge and t u r n i g n i t i o n switch to the
O N position. Refer to Gauge Removal and Installa-
tion.
(2) Using voltage meter, test voltage between P i n 3
and P i n 4 (Fig. 4) through (Fig. 7).
(3) I f battery voltage is OK, replace meter. I f not,
check ignition w i r i n g .

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE:
(1) I g n i t i o n switch i n the O N position, engine not
r u n n i n g ,
disconnect temperature
sensor and the
engine coolant temperature gauge should read cold.
(2) I g n i t i o n switch i n the O N position, engine not
r u n n i n g , ground P i n 1 and the engine coolant tem-
perature gauge should read m a x i m u m temperature.
I f OK, test engine temperature sensor. I f not O K ,
repair as necessary.

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE:
(1) I g n i t i o n switch i n the O N position and the
engine not r u n n i n g , the engine o i l pressure gauge
should read zero.
(2) I g n i t i o n switch i n the O N position, the engine
not r u n n i n g , disconnect the oil pressure sensor and
engine o i l pressure gauge should read m a x i m u m oil
pressure. I f OK, test oil pressure sensor. I f not OK,
repair as necessary.
FUEL GAUGE:
(1) Remove gauge.
(2) U s i n g ohmmeter, measure continuity at P i n 1
of the fuel gauge wire harness connector, w i t h the
ignition switch i n the O N position and the engine not
r u n n i n g .

(3) Check ohms.
• Fuel t a n k full is 4 ohms.
• Fuel t a n k empty is 107 ohms.
