INSTALLATION
(1) Position latch to vehicle.
(2) Loosely i n s t a l l bolts to hold latch to t r u n k l i d .
(3) Using previously made marks,
align
t r u n k
latch to outline on t r u n k l i d .
( 4 ) Tighten bolts to hold t r u n k latch to t r u n k l i d .
( 5 ) I n s t a l l remote to t r u n k l i d .
(6) I n s t a l l pop rivets to hold release remote t o
t r u n k l i d .
TRUNK LATCH STRIKER
REMOVAL
(1) Release t r u n k latch and open t r u n k l i d .
(2) Support t r u n k l i d on prop rod.
(3) Remove bolts holding t r u n k latch striker to
t r u n k t a i l panel (Fig. 66).
(4) Separate striker from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
(1) Position striker to vehicle.
(2) I n s t a l l bolts to hold t r u n k latch striker to
t r u n k t a i l panel.
TRUNK LOCK CYLINDER
REMOVAL
(1) Release t r u n k latch and open t r u n k l i d .
(2) Support t r u n k l i d on prop rod.
(3) Remove t r u n k latch remote to gain access to
lock cylinder fastener.
(4) Remove n u t holding lock cylinder to t r u n k l i d
(Fig.
6 7 ) .
(5) Separate lock cylinder from t r u n k l i d .
INSTALLATION
(1) Position lock cylinder and seal to t r u n k l i d .
(2) I n s t a l l n u t holding lock cylinder to t r u n k l i d .
(3) I n s t a l l t r u n k latch remote.

TRUNK LID WEATHER-STRIP •
REMOVAL
(1) Release t r u n k latch and open t r u n k .
(2) Support t r u n k l i d on prop rod.
(3) P u l l upward on weather-strip to remove weath-
er-strip from t r u n k opening fence (Fig. 68).

INSTALLATION
(1) Locate center of weather-strip
and center or
t r u n k fence.
(2) Push weather-strip retainer channel over t r u n k
fence at the center of the t r u n k opening.
(3) Thread weather-strip
behind hinges at each
side of t r u n k opening.
(4) Push weather-strip
onto t r u n k fence
around
rest of t r u n k opening. Do not stretch
weather-strip
during installation.
(5) Join ends of weather-strip together at rear cen-
ter of t r u n k opening.
