1:1 Redundancy in Router Mode

In Router Mode:
If Dedicated Management Port is enabled before 1:1 Redundancy is enabled,
no special configuration is required. 1:1 Redundancy will use the Management
IP Address for redundancy communications between the online and standby
modems. The Traffic IP Address will be used as the Traffic IP Address only –
the online modem configures the Traffic IP Address.
If 1:1 Redundancy is enabled before Dedicated Management Port is enabled,
no special configuration is required. Dedicated Management Port will use the
Management IP Address as the Management IP Address. The Traffic IP
Address will be used as the Traffic IP Address.
Whether only Dedicated Management is enabled, or only 1:1 Redundancy is enabled, or both
are enabled, you are required to configure both the Management and Traffic IP Addresses. As
shown in Figure Q-12, both Dedicated Management Port and 1:1 Redundancy use the
Management IP Address for M&C traffic, and the Traffic IP Address for Ethernet data traffic. No
special configuration is otherwise required.
