Configuring a Router Mode Point-to-Point System

The procedures outlined in this section result in the configuration shown in Table D-5.

D.2.6.1 Configure User PCs
Do these steps:
Step Task
1 For User PC 1:
• Set the IP Address to 172.17.10.11;
• Set the mask to 255.255.255.0;
• Set the PC Gateway IP Address to 172.17.10.1.
2 For User PC 2:
• Set the IP Address to 172.16.10.11;
• Set the mask to 255.255.255.0;
• Set the PC Gateway IP Address to 172.16.10.1.
3 Reboot the PCs (if required).
D.2.6.2 Set CDM-IP Modems to Router Mode Operation
Do these steps on CDM-IP 1 (the applicable CLI "hot key" is shown in brackets [#]):
Step Task
1 From the CLI Main Menu:
Select the Administration [A] submenu.
2 From the Administration menu:
Select CDM-IP Working Mode [C].
3 When the following prompt is displayed:
Changing Modem working mode requires system Reboot.
Do you want to continue(Y/N)[Enter :No]
