Rear Panel Optional Features
As per Figure 1-4, from left to right:
Power Interfaces:
•
-24V DC or -48V DC Primary Input Power Supply with Screw-in Fuse Holders.
•
24V DC 90 Watt BUC Power Supply (AC Input or DC Input versions).
•
48V DC 150 Watt BUC Power Supply (AC Input or DC Input versions).
Utility and Traffic Data Interfaces:
•
(1X) "Console" RJ-11 modular jack. When equipped with the optional Packet Processor, this
port provides access to the Serial CLI (Command Line Interface).
•
(1X) "Ethernet 10/100 | Traffic 100" RJ-45 modular port. When equipped with the optional
Packet Processor, this port processes 10/100 BaseT Ethernet-based traffic.
•
(1X) "1:1 Control" DB-9F connector for to connect the modem only to a CRS-170A (L-Band)
or CRS-180 (70/140 MHz) switch in optional 1:1 redundancy configurations.

Standard Data Interfaces
The modem includes, as standard, a universal data interface that eliminates the need to
exchange interface cards for different applications. The interfaces offered include:

EIA-422 (EIA-530) DCE (at rates up to 10.239 Mbps)
•
X.21 DTE and DCE (at rates up to 9.98 Mbps)
•
V.35 DCE (at rates up to 9.98 Mbps)
•
Synchronous EIA-232 DCE (at rates up to 300 kbps)
•
G.703 E1 (2048 kbps), balanced and unbalanced
•
G.703 T1 (1544 kbps), balanced
