Transmit and Receive IF Configuration
Do these steps:

Use the CDM-IP 1 and CDM-IP 2 front panels to configure the Tx and Rx IF parameters.
Note: The IF parameters can also be set via Console CLI, Telnet, HTTP (Web Server) Interface and
SNMP. For this procedure, however, it is recommended that you use the modem front panel.

Set the TxPower to minimum level.

Before proceeding to next step, make sure that each CDM-IP is appropriately carrier-locked to the other
CDM-IP.

Launch the user-supplied terminal emulation program (e.g., HyperTerminal).

Select the appropriate COM port to which the DB-9 end of the console cable is connected, and configure
the port as follows:

Press Enter to bring up the CLI login prompt, and then the CLI Main Menu. The default User Name and
Password is comtech.
D.2.3.1 Telnet CLI Operation Quick Reference
The CLI operates under a hierarchy of Configuration and Information functions. You may access
any nested configuration or information page (e.g., Administration, Route Table, etc.) from this
top-level menu by typing an available "Hot Key", commonly provided at the right side of the
screen.
Common Interface Options/Fields – The bottom of each primary and nested page provides
three menu functions are that are typical throughout the CLI:

Save Parameters to permanent
storage
Exit
Telnet Logout

Description
Saves the current configuration of the Packet Processor to
permanent storage. This configuration is restored on each
successive power cycle.
Exits the current menu and returns to the parent menu. You may
alternately press the Esc key to perform the same action.
Exits the CLI and closes the terminal emulator application.
