30.1.12 hardware-address
Command:
hardware-address <hardware-address> [{Ethernet | IEEE802|<type-number>}]
no hardware-address
Function:
Specifies the hardware address of the user when binding address manually; the "no hardware-address" command
deletes the setting.
Parameters:
<hardware-address> is the hardware address in Hex; Ethernet | IEEE802 is the Ethernet protocol type,
<type-number> should be the RFC number defined for protocol types, from 1 to 255, e.g., 0 for Ethernet and 6 for
IEEE 802.
Default:
The default protocol type is Ethernet,

DHCP Address Pool Mode
Usage Guide:
This command is used with the "host" when binding address manually. If the requesting client hardware address
matches the specified hardware address, the DHCP server assigns the IP address defined in "host" command to the
client.
Example:
Specify IP address 10.1.128.160 to be bound to the user with hardware address 00-00-e2-3a-26-04 in manual
address binding.
Switch(dhcp-1-config)#hardware-address 00-00-e2-3a-26-04
Switch(dhcp-1-config)#host 10.1.128.160 24
