PWE Card
The basic philosophy of the Pseudowire card offering is to keep all the user (DS0 level)
provisioning the same for individual circuits to the WAN, and then convert the WAN from an
electrical to a virtual facility. By this method there is no need to introduce or learn a new
cross-connect methodology, but rather make all the connections as normally done on the
IMACS user cards and then convert the WAN facility itself from an electrical transport to an
IP-centric transport out the faceplate of the PWE card.
Table 24-3 below shows these PWE screen settings, the options and the default settings.
