IPR*4PPP Configuration Screens and Settings
When defining the ports for the PPP interface, the IP address is determined through the use of
IPCP discovery messages when the T1/E1 WAN link is coming up in-service. Since the IP
address is determined by the link itself, the porT provisioning provides a descriptive field
called INTF NAME for the customer to name the particular T1/E1 interface. This allows for
a descriptive and meaningful identifier to be associated with the WAN link interface in order
to be found later using the Find and find Next functions.
