Chapter 16
LDSRU-10P Card

16.1 Introduction

This chapter provides installation, configuration, and troubleshooting information for the Low
Delay Subrate Data (SRU) Card, which is identified as an LD-SRU card on its faceplate
ejector.
The LDSRU-10P Card allows you to connect up to 10 RS-232, low-speed and medium-speed
(300 kbps to 38.4 kbps) data terminals to the Integrated Access System. You can multiplex a
number of those devices onto a single DS0 time slot of a WAN card. The card ports can also
be multiplexed with voice traffic on an ADPCM engine.
Each port of the LDSRU-10P Card receives timing from either the external DTE or the
Integrated Access System clock. If the DTE supplies the transmit timing, that clock signal
must be synchronized to the Integrated Access System's clock source.
The LDSRU-10P Card allows you to connect up to ten (10) RS-232, low-speed and
medium-speed data terminal to the Integrated Access System.
Some new changes to SRU Cards require that the cards be put in standby then the active modes
for the changes to take effect.
