AAL
ATM Adaption Layer
ABCD bits
The bits that carry signaling information over a T1 or E1 line.
ABR
Available Bit Rate
ACAMI
Alternate Channel AMI, transmitting data on every other DS0 in a DS1 to ensure ones-density.
