OC3 Card
As illustrated in Figure 23-4, set the state of the card to active (actv) and set the type to T1.The
first offering of the card does not support E1 mode. Save these parameters to progress to the
OC3 main screen, which is shown below in Figure 23-5.
This screen is split into three sections bordered by a top and bottom border, and is meant to
display all available facilities carried by the OC3 card. On the top of border the software
Version is displayed, in this case release 1.0.0. On the bottom border in inverse video are the
various options covered in Table 23-1 and explained below. The remaining three sections of
the card display indicate the fiber status of both ports in the top section, the center section
displays the ethernet STS status bits as well as a representation of all available electrical
facilities carried over STS number 1. This middle section begins with the eight terminating
facilities on the local shelf (INTERNAL) followed by the status indicator of the sixteen
