TYPE
These columns represent the eight available Pseudowire streams one through eight. These all
default to WAN type. In order to create a Pseudowire, the operator must change the wan type
to PWAN and save it. Once done, then a stream can be provisioned on this appearance.
The following parameters will show a "-" until a Pseudowire (Pw) is
commissioned onto the particular WAN appearance.
STATE
The state row in the list of virtual facilities WAN 1-1 through WAN 4-2 initially displays "-"
for all appearances. Once the Type above has been changed to PWAN, the status will change
to stdby. The provisioned Pseudowire can be turned up here (change state to actv and save the
change), or this field can be used to turn off the stream by changing it to stdby and saving the
data.
WAN
This display-only field will reflect the location of the virtual facility, as in WAN 1-1 through
WAN 4-2.
STATUS
This display-only field will how the status of the PWE stream, whether is up or down.
CLK TYPE
This will show the provisioning on the PWE stream, whether it has bee set for adaptive clock
(adapt) or common (comm) clocking. Only two provisioned PWE streams can be used for
adaptive clocking.
CLK STATUS
If adaptive clock mode has been set on the provisioned PWE, this field will display the status
of the adaptive clock, whether it is acquiring a the timing (acq) or locked onto the timing
source (locked). The system can take up to 15 minutes in some cases to lock onto the clocking.
The bottom part of the PWE main screen shows Screen Actions and also some utilities in
