1. Disconnect the external SAMPLE input line and plug the external
SAMPLE fitting.
2. Disconnect the ZERO AIR input lines and plug.
3. Plug the VENT and OUTPUT.

The pressure reading should drop to less than 250 mm Hg.
If the pump diaphragm is in good condition and the capillary is not
blocked, it should take less than 20 seconds from the time the inlet is
plugged to the time the reading drops below 250 mm Hg.
If a leak is suspected, carefully tighten each fitting until the leak is found
and check to see that none of the input lines are cracked or broken.
Use the following procedure to check for leaks in the system and to leak test
the pump. This procedure is for Model 146i instruments that do not have
the photometer option. For Model 146i instruments that have the
photometer option, refer to "Leak Test and Pump Checkout - with
Photometer Option."
