1. Press
to display the Main Menu.
2. Use
Intensity Check and press
The Intensity Check menu appears.
Note If Service is not displayed, refer to
page
5-2, then return to the beginning of this step.
3. Select either Reference Gas or Sample Gas.
Either the Photometer Reference Gas screen appears or the Photometer
Sample Gas screen.
The noise value displayed after 20 seconds should be below 4.0 Hz for a
fully warmed-up lamp (see
the "Troubleshooting" chapter if the noise is excessive).
Degradation of detector frequency to below 65 kHz indicates either a dirty
cell or low lamp output. In addition to degrading the measured detector
frequency, dirt in the cell can decompose the ozone and give erroneous
readings. Therefore, the cell should first be cleaned and the frequency
re-measured.
The Model 146i includes the following capillaries (depending on the
instrument options).
Ozonator capillary
Photometer capillary
Pressure gauge capillary
Pump capillary
If there are indications that a capillary may be blocked, perform the
following procedures as appropriate. See the associated capillary
replacement procedure for a description of how to remove the capillary for
inspection and cleaning.
