11. Remove defective flow controller from the bracket by removing the two
retaining screws.
12. Install the new flow controller by following the previous steps in reverse.
13. Check the system for leaks. Refer to "Leak Test and Pump Checkout" in
this chapter.
14. Recalibrate.
Use the following procedure to adjust the pressure regulator and the back
pressure regulator.
Equipment required:
Digital flow meter capable of measuring 150 sccm
WARNING The service procedures in this manual are restricted to qualified
service representatives.
If the equipment is operated in a manner not specified by the manufacturer,
the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
Equipment Damage Some internal components can be damaged by small
amounts of static electricity. A properly grounded antistatic wrist strap must
be worn while handling any internal component.
1. Configure a digital flow meter (capable of measuring 150 sccm) with a
0.01-inch capillary restricting the meter input.
2. For instruments equipped with the ozonator option, attach the digital
flow meter to the gas line immediately preceding the ozonator capillary
holder (attached to the solenoid valve on the ozonator).
For instruments equipped with only the permeation oven option, attach
the digital flow meter in place of the tee fitting between the back
pressure regulator input and the Perm 1 solenoid valve.
