The Model 146i can be equipped with an optional permeation oven. The
permeation oven supplies an internal source of calibration gas. A small
amount of zero-air flows through the permeation tube and is mixed with
the remainder of the zero-air flow in the mixing chamber. This menu in
only available if the PERMEATION OVEN option is enabled in the
INSTRUMENT CONFIGURATION menu under DIAGNOSTICS.
Note Permeation oven temperature selection and calibration may be done
via the Service > Perm Oven Settings menu.
In the Main Menu, choose Permeation Oven Setup.

The Permeation K (constant) screen allow the user to set the multiplier for
the permeation tube for a given oven temperature. Allowable values are
0.000 to 9.999. If the values selected are lower or higher than allowed,
"TOO LOW" or TOO HIGH" appears on the screen.
Note Changing this value may affect allowable limits for permeation
concentration levels. It is advisable to check these settings.
In the Main Menu, choose Permeation Oven Setup > Permeation K.
