Adding a network drive
Requirements
Prerequisites for connecting a network drive:
Connection with the network
The control must reach the server in the network
The credentials and the drive path are known
Adding a network drive
To add a network drive:
Select Add
The control opens the Mount assistant window.
Define the settings on the individual tabs
Select Forward after each tab
On the Check tab, check the settings
Press Apply
The control connects the network drive.
Settings for the network drive
The control guides you through the settings with the Mount
assistant.

Drive name
Drive name:
Network drive name shown in the file
management of the control
The control permits only capitals, with a colon
(:) at the end.
Private network drive
When user administration is active, the
connection is only visible to the user who
created it.
Transfer protocol
Share type
Windows share (CIFS/SMB) or Samba server
UNIX share (NFS)

To create and edit public
connections, you need the
HEROS.SetShares right. Without
this right, users are able to start
and terminate public connections
but can create and edit only private
connections.
