MERLIN LEGEND Communications System Release 7.0
Feature Reference 555-670-110
Features
Personal Lines
Transfer
UDP Features
If a call is received on a personal line and is transferred to another user
who receives the call on an SA or ICOM button and then puts the call on
hold, another user who shares the personal line cannot select the shared
personal line button and pick up the call. If for some reason the person who
received the transfer and put the call on hold cannot return to the call,
another user must use Pickup to pick up the call. For example, an operator
can take a message and then disconnect the caller.
To avoid toll fraud for Release 6.0 or later systems (Hybrid/PBX mode
only), private network trunks must not be assigned to extensions as
personal lines.
In Release 6.1 and later systems, the principal user of a personal line can
forward calls to a non-local extension.
