Developer

A Developer's view of the sample information dialog is more flexible than that of an Analyst.
A Developer is allowed to view and edit (if desired) all parameters of the file.
Perform the following steps to create a sample information file:
1. Select File > New > Sample Information; the Create a Sample Information File dialog
containing the available templates is displayed.
2. Choose a template, then click
3. Edit (or enter) the description in the Sample field; you can use up to 42 characters.
4. In the Operator field, enter the name of the Analyst who will be performing the analysis.
5. In the Submitter field, enter the name of the department, company, etc. submitting the
sample for analysis.
6. Select Enter to enter a value for the sample's mass (if different from the default value), or
Calculate to have the mass calculated automatically. If you select Calculate, you must
enter weights for the Empty tube and the Tube + sample. Enter the sample's density if
you plan to use a calculated free space. A value in this field is only pertinent when using a
calculated free space.
7. Choose whether you are going to enter data or have it automatically collected.
