This chapter describes repair activities for the IRB 6650S. Each procedure contains
the information required to perform the activity, for example spare parts numbers,
required special tools, and materials.

Repair activities not described in this chapter must only be carried out by ABB.
Note
When replacing a part on the IRB 6650S, report to your local ABB the serial
number, the article number, and the revision of both the replaced unit and the
replacement unit.
This is particularly important for safety equipment to maintain the safety integrity
of the installation.
Note
If the IRB 6650S is connected to power, always make sure that the IRB 6650S
is connected to protective earth and a residual current device (RCD) before
starting any repair work.
