Refitting, spherical roller bearing
Use this procedure to refit the spherical roller bearing to the balancing device front
ear.

4.5.3 Replacement of spherical roller bearing, balancing device
Action
Remove the balancing device from the ro-
bot.
Remove the both sealing spacers with a
screwdriver or any equal tool.
Insert the threaded bar through the bearing.
Fit the press tool and dolly to the threaded
bar.
Secure with the nut and washer at each end.
Press out the bearing from the front ear.
Action
DANGER
Turn off all:
•
electric power supply to the robot
•
hydraulic pressure supply to the ro-
bot
•
air pressure supply to the robot
Before entering the robot working area.
Grease the inside walls of the front ear.
Press in the bearing properly inside the ear.
Apply grease to the new sealing rings and
o-rings and fit one of each to the new seal-
ing spacers. Also, grease the sealing
spacers.
Refit the balancing device to the robot.
Lubricate the spherical roller bearing in the
ear.
Note
The balancing device must be mounted on
the robot when lubrication is performed!
Make sure no incorrect leakage occurs. It
could indicate damaged o-rings.

Make sure all safety requirements are met
when performing the first test run.
