Drive shaft - Remove
1. Remove the drive shaft (1) 3rd gear drive gear (2) and
3rd/4th gear coupler (3) as a assembly from the trans-
mission housing.
NOTE: 1st and 2nd gear are a integral part of the drive
shaft.
2. Remove shims.
3. Remove the snap ring (1) securing the 4th gear drive
gear (2) on the range shaft.
4. Remove the 4th gear drive gear (1) from the range
shaft.
