When the DSGA is used, two calibrations are required at each data rate:
one for Data0 and another one for the other channels. The calibration for
Data0 includes the switch. For the other channels, Data1 is calibrated
without the switch.
For this calibration, the TIE high pass filter (1/30 UI) is not applied. While
calibrating the STDJ (short term deterministic jitter) higher than the 1/30
UI, the low frequency DDJ is not filtered from the DJ measurement. The
data generator does a sweep of the SJ amplitude between the given
minimum and the maximum jitter values. Each jitter value is calibrated for
several frequency points (given by the "Frequency Range" and "Additional
Jitter Frequencies" parameters). At each step, the actual value of jitter
amplitude, measured with the DSO, and the set value are stored.
Refer to the connection diagrams shown in the Connection Diagram
section of the ISI (w/Switch) Calibration test.
The parameters used in Expert Mode, for this calibration are as follows:
Lane Under Test Termination Mode
Oscilloscope Bandwidth
Amplitude
Min Jitter Value
Max Jitter Value
Step Size
Frequency Range (MHz)
Additional Jitter Frequencies (MHz)
Jitter Calibration File
Use Infiniisim
Transfer Function Chan2
Filter Delay Chan2
Max Time Span Chan2
