Trouble-clearing procedures
REPLUNITMISS

Verify that there is a card in the slot against which the alarm is raised. If no card is

present, insert a card of the provisioned type into the slot. To verify which card type has
been provisioned for the slot:

4 If...
a card is present,
damage is found on the shelf's backplane,
damage is found on the card, but not on the
backplane,
no damage is found on either the backplane or
the card,

5 If...
the shelf has a single Equipment Controller
the shelf has redundant Equipment Controllers
...................................................................................................................................................................................................
6 If the REPLUNITMISS alarm does not clear, remove the alarmed card and arrange for
repair to the backplane. Follow the return and repair process to return the damaged card
or shelf to an authorized repair center for replacement.

Then...
remove the card and check for damage to the
shelf's backplane pins and to the card's
backplane connector.
arrange for repair to the backplane. Do not
attempt to reinsert the card.
send the card for repair. Replace the damaged
card with another one of the same type, into
the same slot.
replace the card with another one of the same
type into the same slot. If the Card Missing
alarm clears, send the original card for repair.
Then...
replace the Equipment Controller.
1. switch activity
2. replace the Equipment Controller that used
to be active (but is now inactive)
3. switch activity back again
