7) Disconnect the 2 connectors [2], and detach the
laser scanner unit [1].

The laser scanner unit is equipped with a laser
shutter [1].

Moreover, the actuator [1] of the laser shutter is
mounted to the hopper assembly.

Be sure to keep the hopper assembly open when fitting
the laser scanner unit into the machine so that the laser
shutter will not interfere with the actuator.
After replacing the laser scanner unit, be sure to go
through the following:
1) Make the following selections in service mode, and
press the
COPIER>FUNCTION>DPC>DPC.
2) Turn off and then on the main power switch.

(upper) [2].
