Important Considerations
Every router maintains a table of current routing information in a
routing table.
Routing protocols receive or advertise routes from the network.
Routing Policies control the flow of routing information between the
network, the protocols, and the routing table manager.
Prompt Description
Policy Index number of the policy you
want to modify.
Route Origin of the route to which
Origin this policy applies. This
parameter is valid only if the
policy Type is set to Export.
Route IPX route to which this policy
address applies.
IP interfaces One or more IP interfaces on
this router associated with the
RIP policy.
Source node 6-byte MAC address of the
address router that can forward
packets to the segment. A
node address of all zeroes
(00-00-00-00-00-00)
means that the route is
connected directly to the
router.
Policy action Whether this router accepts or
rejects a route that matches
the policy.
