The chassis ID printed circuit board (PCB) (Model Number 3CB9EE) for the
CoreBuilder
®
9000 Enterprise Switch 7-slot chassis, 8-slot chassis, or
16-slot chassis is a serial EEPROM that contains the chassis ID information
and a temperature sensor. This ID PCB is mounted on a PCB assembly
component that connects to a 14-pin DIP socket at the top of the
backplane inside the chassis.
WARNING: The CoreBuilder 9000 7-slot chassis, 8-slot chassis, and
16-slot chassis ID PCB must be installed, removed, or replaced only by
trained service personnel. Do not attempt to install, remove, or replace a
CoreBuilder 9000 chassis ID PCB. Call your 3Com customer support
number (1-800) 638-3266. Outside the United States, contact your local
3Com office.
