Traces a route to a host with one or more of the advanced traceRoute
options.

Important Considerations
When you specify a host name, the host name and its associated IP
address must be configured on a network name server. Also, you must
add the IP address on the name server to the list of name server
addresses that are associated with the network domain name. See "ip
dns domainName" earlier in this chapter for more information.

Host name or
Host name or IP address of the
IP address
destination that you want to ping.
Maximum ttl
Maximum number of hops that the
system can use in outgoing probe
packets.
Destination
Destination (or base) UDP port
port
number that the system uses in probe
packets. Set the destination UDP port
number to be very high to ensure that
an application at the destination is
not using that port.
Probe count
Maximum number of probes that the
system sends at each TTL level.
Wait
Maximum amount of time that the
system waits for a response to a
probe.
Packet size
Number of bytes that the system
sends in each UDP probe packet.
Source address Source address other than the one
from which the probe packets
originate. This option is available if
you have more than one IP interface
defined on the system .
