Yaw Rate/Lateral
Acceleration Sensor
Removal/Installation
CAUTION: Do not damage or drop the yaw rate/lateral
acceleration sensor as it is sensitive.
1.
Remove the trunk front trim and the spare tire lid
(see
section
20).
2.
Remove the sensor cover.
3.
Remove the yaw rate/lateral acceleration sensor.
4.
Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.

9.8 N-m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.2 Ibf-ft)

Wheel Sensors
Inspection
1.
Check the front and rear pulser for chipped or dam-
aged teeth.
2.
Measure the air gap between the wheel sensor and
pulser all the way around while rotating the pulser.
If the gap exceeds 1.0 mm (0.04 in), check for a bent
suspension arm.
Standard:
Front/Rear: 0.4 - 1.0 mm (0.02 - 0.04 in)
Front
0.4-1.0 mm
(0.02 - 0.04 in)
Rear
Remove the rear brake disc to inspect the rear wheel
sensor air gap.
0.4-1.0 mm
(0.02 - 0.04 in)
