Transmitter Test

NOTE:
• The doors will not lock or unlock with the transmitter if the ignition key is inserted in the ignition switch.
• If any door is open, you cannot lock the doors with the transmitter.
• If you unlock the doors with the transmitter, but do not open any of the doors within 30 seconds, the doors relock auto-
matically.
• For PANIC button and TRUNK button operation, hold the button for more than 1 second.
Doors cannot be locked or
unlocked with the transmitter.
Does the LED come on when the
transmitter button is pushed?
YES
Is there another transmitter?
NO
Reprogram the transmitter, then
try to lock/unlock the doors (see
page 23-292).
Do the doors lock/unlock?
NO
Substitute a known-good receiver
unit, rewrite the transmitter, then
recheck.
Do the doors lock/unlock?
NO
Faulty multiplex control unit
(passenger's) or wire harness.
NO
Replace the battery (CR2025).
Lock/unlock the doors with trans-
mitter.
NO
Do the doors lock/unlock?
YES
Transmitter is OK.
YES
Check with the second transmit-
ter.
NO
Do the doors lock/unlock?
YES
Replace the original transmitter.
YES
Transmitter is OK.
YES
Replace the keyless receiver unit.
