DRAWING A
Following is an overview of the canvas system. The can-
vas parts consist of the bimini top, side curtains, aft
curtain, windscreen plus bimini and aft connector can-
vas along with bows and hardware.
The canvas requires a set installation procedure which
will make the job easier and faster to accomplish. Some-
times a second person can help in certain parts of the
process. Once the skipper has gained experience he will
find some shortcuts to the entire process to ease installa-
tion. Normal installation requires no special tools.
Never fold canvas parts with the clear vinyl windows
such as windscreens, side or aft curtains since they could
be damaged. This is especially true in colder climates.
Roll all canvas parts and make sure the vinyl windows
are dry to prevent debris forming on the window mate-
rial. Also, store in a clean, dry environment. A little bit
of silicone spray on the zippers and vasoline on any snaps
periodically helps canvas parts go together easier.

Bimini Top/Windscreen Connector

The bimini top normally sets at an angle position when
not in use. To set up the bimini top:
1. Unzip the top boot and store it for future use.
2. Pull the bimini top forward to unfold the entire top.
3. Install the bimini turnbuckles to top of arch.
4. Push in the forward inner bow support locking pin and
rest it on the top of the outer bow for initial adjustment.
Do the same with the other side. See drawing B.
5. Connect the port and starboard lower forward bows to
the clevis connectors and lock with the clevis pin.
See drawing C.
6. Leave the 2 adjustment straps disconnected at this time.
7. Notice the arch bow. Secure it to the arch turndowns
on both port and starboard sides. See drawing A.
8. Pull the bimini canvas to stern. Find the zipper on the
bimini connector canvas and proceed to zip the bimini
top to the arch connector canvas pulling the top as re-
quired to assist in installing it.
9. Next, install the bimini windscreen by zipping it up to
the bimini top. To ease snapping the windscreen to the
deck snaps it may be easier by unzipping the flaps to ease
snap installation and you may have to stand on a step.
Make sure the cabin door is shut to prevent falling. Rezip
the flaps shut.
