Fuel Filter
The gas generator features a spin on canister fuel filter
in-line and a sediment filter located on the unit. Replace
the fuel filter every 500 hours of running or when the
engine is running rough.
To change the fuel filter do the following:
1. Turn the filter counterclockwise to loosen. It may be
necessary to use an oil filter style wrench to break it free.
Be prepared to catch spilled fuel with the proper container.
Dispose of spilled fuel and the old fuel filter in an
environmentally friendly manner.
2. Coat the new fuel filter gasket with a light coat of
fresh oil. Turn the new fuel filter clockwise until the filter
contacts the adapter housing. Turn an additional half turn.
3. Bleed the system as shown earlier in the operation
section before attempting to start the generator. This will
eliminate any vapor lock and prevent rough operation.
