BOTTOM PAINT

As a factory option two coats of "Trinidad" bottom paint
are applied to your vessel. This Pettit Paint Company
product provides top-of-the-line antifouling protection.
It contains the highest percentage of cuprous oxide to
aggressively combat even the worst tropical conditions.
This product will help reduce annual hull maintenance.
Trinidad's hard epoxy base produces the most durable
finish for long lasting performance. If your vessel is left
in the water the paint provides effective year round ser-
vice.
Periodically check the bottom of the boat for growth.
The vendor recommends scrubing the bottom with a soft
brush to remove anything from the antifouling surface.
This scrubbing is particularly important with boats that
are idle for extended periods.
Note: When touching up the bottom with Trinidad ep-
oxy paint wait at least 3 days before relaunching the ves-
sel. Always leave at least 1 1/2" between any metal ob-
jects and the bottom paint to help prevent electrolysis.
See the illustration.
