SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using your ceramic cook top range read the fol-
lowing instructions and safety information.
1. Do not attempt to repair the range yourself. Contact a
local service center or return the unit to the factory. If
the unit needs to be removed make sure the breaker is
turned off on the A/C distribution panel before the range
is removed.
2. Do not use water to extinguish a grease fire. Smother
fire with dry chemical or foam-type extinguisher. Store
an extinguisher where it can be quickly reached in an
emergency.
3. Use only dry potholders. A wet potholder on a hot
surface can produce burns from steam. Never use towels
as a potholder.
4.Do not use the cook top to heat the cabin.
5. Never touch the burners, or surrounding areas. These
areas could cause serious burns.
6. Do not wear loose fitting garments while using the
cook top.

7. Do not store items of interest to children either above
or near the cook top, children climbing on the cook top
to reach items could be seriously injured.
8. Do not leave the cook top unattended with the heat
setting on high heat. Boil over may create smoke or a
fire. The utensil handle should be turned inward to pre-
vent accidential spillage. The utensil handle should not
extend over adjacent heating elements.
9. Pot retention devices such as a railing should be used
to secure the utensil to the cook top. They are available
through your dealer or directly from Kenyon.
10. Do not use the cook top if the glass is broken.
11. Never let electrical cords cross the stove surface.
