How To Use Cablemaster System

To extend the cable:

1. Flip the power switch to the "out" or up position or
activate the "out" button on the remote control. Grasp
the power cord plug.
2. Walk to the dock power source and plug the shore
power cord intothe receptacle.
3. Cablemaster will automatically shut itself off when
the cable has been fully extended. If you do not need the
entire cable length turn the power switch to the "off "
position. Flip the power switch to the "in" position or
use the remote control.
4. Turn power switch to the "off " position when the cor-
rect length of cable is retracted. Make sure the cable is
not under strain or in the water. In coastal areas allow for
tide changes.

To retract the cable:

1. Disconnect the shore power cord from the dockside
power source.
2. While holding the power cord, walk toward
Cablemaster unit.
3. Flip the power switch to the "in" or down position at
the cablemaster unit or remote control.
4. Cablemaster will automatically shut itself off when
the cable has been fully retracted.
NOTICE
DO NOT MOVE VESSEL
UNTIL CABLES ARE FULLY RETRACTED.
Equipment Operation
The cablemaster unit should be able to pay in and out the
cable without any slippage or any undue strain. Some as-
sistance may be required on long out runs or multiple
bend situations.
Retracting the power cord should not be any problem.
Refer to the maintenance chapter for information regard-
ing friction adjustment between the main pulley and the
shore power cable.
Note: Each cablemaster cord is protected by a 15 ampre
in-line fuse located inside the DC distribution panel. This
panel is found at the forward engine bulkhead.
Before attempting to open the DC distribution front panel
turn off all DC battery switches.
They are located inside the cockpit circular seat under
the aft cushion. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws
holding the front panel. Carefully lift the front panel for-
ward to access the in-line fuses.
You will see the fuses behind the front cover. They are
connected through the breaker marked DASH.
