DC DISTRIBUTION PANEL
The DC (12 volt) distribution panel is located at the
vessel's forward engine bulkhead. It serves as an
overcurrent protection device for various DC (direct cur-
rent) components and wiring runs.
It protects the instrumentation wiring through the 80 amp
dash main breaker. Various stereo components are fused
to the 80 amp cabin main breaker along with the main
DC distribution panel. Electronic equipment such as ra-
dar, plotter and VHF are protected by the electronics 60
amp breaker. The windlass breaker protects the windlass
motor installed at the forward deck.
Note: Should a breaker "pop" find the root cause of the
malfunction and repair it before resetting the breaker.
Note: The DC distribution panel inside may house vari-
ous optional equipment fuses that do not have a breaker
for in the panel itself. See the maintenance section for
the component fuses found here.
