WINDLASS OPERATION

A Lewmar® Concept 1 series windlass features a chain,
line, and anchor. There are dual operating foot controls
on the forward deck. These foot controls operate the
anchor up or down by pressing the appropriate foot
switch.. The deck foot controls work independently of
the helm switch. See the illustration for location.
The helm switch is located at the starboard switch panel.
It can be identified by its red lock-out button. Note that
the lock-out button in the "off " position prevents the
windlass from accidentally letting the anchor out. The
lock-out switch must be activated in order to permit usage
of the windlass helm switch. In the normal switch
position the lock-out switch is in the "off " position. To
deactivate the lock-out feature of this switch first press
the red button down. At the same time with another
finger press the top section of the lock-out switch until
the switch snaps to the "on" position.
