Operation
The autopilot operation is presented here in a series of
quick reference cards. Basic information is provided in
the following pages; more detailed information is found
in the manufacturer's operation manual.The controller
operates in the following modes:
1. Standby- SmartPilot off. Captain has control of vessel.
2. Auto- SmartPilot steers the boat to maintain a locked
heading.
3. Track- SmartPilot steers the boat to maintain a track
between two waypoints created on a navigational aid.
4. Wind Vane- SmartPilot steers the boat to maintain a
course relative to a true or apparent wind angle.
5. Automatic Track- In Auto & Wind Vane modes.
6. Waypoint Advance Feature- In Track mode.
Below are the basic directions for the SmartPilot Controller
buttons which is mounted on the helm.

ST2000 CONTROLLER BUTTON FUNCTIONS

All the buttons are confirmed with a short beep. Besides
the single-task buttons, there are several dual-task button
operations.
To power up the SmartPilot Controller do the following:
1. Turn the battery switches under the cockpit circular
aft seat cushion to the "on" position.
2. Turn the electronics switch to the "ON" position at
the starboard helm switch panel.
3. On the SmartPilot controller press the STANDBY
button for manual control. The SmartPilot Controller
always powers up in the stand-by mode showing the boat's
current fluxgate compass heading.

basic course information into the system. For more
