PASSPORT AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL

OVERVIEW
1. Activate the air conditioner breaker at the ship's ser-
vice panel.
2. Press the POWER button once to start the system.
The display indicates room temperature when the sys-
tem is on and is blank when the system is off.
3. Set the desired room temperature by pressing the UP
or DOWN button. The set point can be viewed by mo-
mentarily pressing and releasing UP or DOWN buttons.
4. Fan speed operation is automatic allowing fan speed
to decrease as room temperature is approached in the
COOL mode. The fan will operate at low speed when
set point is satisfied. Manual fan speeds can be selected
with the FAN button.
5. The fan can be programmed to run only when cooling
or heating is required. Under normal conditions the au-
tomatic fan speed operation is reversed in the HEAT-
ING mode, however the fan can be programmed to oper-
ate the same as in the COOLING mode.
The Passport control features a memory back-up that does
not use batteries or other power sources. When power is
lost operating parameters are held indefinitely.
When power is resumed, the control continues as last
programmed.
6. When powering up the Passport control press and im-
mediately release the POWER button so as to not unin-
tentionally enter the program mode.
NORMAL HEATING & COOLING CYCLE
Automatic heating and cooling will be supplied as re-
quired. Automatic operation maintains a 2 degree Fahr-
enheit temperature variation. A 4 degree Fahrenheit
change in temperature is required to cause the unit to
shift to the opposite mode. Once in heating or cooling
mode, the Passport control will maintain a 2 degree Fahr-
enheit differential.
Program COOL only and cooling only will be supplied.
The cabin temperature will be maintained atwithin 2 de-
grees of set point.
Program HEAT only and heating only will be supplied.
The cabin temperature will be maintained within 2 de-
grees Fahrenheit of set point.
When the heating and cooling is satisfied, the compres-
sor cycles off and the fan returns to low speed. The fan
speed will remain constant if MANUAL FAN SPEED
has been selected.
