To replace the oil filter:

1. Remove the oil filter by turning it counterclockwise
with a oil filter wrench until it breaks free. Dispose of old
filter in an environmentally friendly manner.
2. Clean the oil filter adapter housing with a clean cloth.
3. Apply a light coat of fresh oil to the rubber seal of the
new oil filter.
4. Install the new oil filter turning it clockwise by hand
for one turn after contacting the adapter housing.
5. Fill the crankcase with the proper oil viscosity, grade
and quantity.
6. Reconnect all battery cables.
7. Energize the battery switches.
8. Start the generator and check for leaks around the oil
filter.
9. Stop the generator. Pull out the dipstick. Wipe with a
clean cloth. Reinsert fully into the tube. Pull again and
check oil level. Add oil as necessary.
