HATCH-ENGINE

One of the unique features of your vessel is the engine
hatch. It opens with a hydraulic actuator from the rear
which makes periodic bilge and equipment inspections
much easier.
Also, there is a diamond plated aluminum stairway that
leads into the compartment. For additional room the step
unit can be set aside.
The engine compartment can be reached by pressing the
hatch switch at the helm. At the starboard rear cockpit
there is a second switch. See the illustration below.

You can activate the lights in the engine room (some-
times called the bilge), by activating the bilge light switch.
All switches on the auxiliary panel are protected by break-
ers mounted on the lower switch panel.
There is a day hatch for checking engine oil, etc. If the
batteries are "dead" the main hatch can be opened by
first accessing the bilge through the auxiliary hatch. Pull
the "C" clip. Then pull the hatch pin until it releases from
the retainer. Push the hatch up. Secure to prevent the
hatch from falling backward. See the illustration.
