THROTTLE
1. Make sure the remote control handles are in the neu-
tral detented position. Listen for the click or feel the
handles as they find neutral. See illustration A.
2. With the engines running in forward or neutral engage
both shift handles into the reverse gear position. At that
point you will feel the propellers pulling the boat aft.
Pushing the control handles beyond the reverse gear po-
sition will result in the throttles increasing the engine
speed and revolutions per minute which is shown on the
tachometers. See illustration C.
3. For neutral position from reverse, push the control
handles forward. This will release the stern drives from
reverse gear as soon as the neutral detent is found.

STERN DRIVE REMOTE CONTROL
THROTTLES
1. To reach a full throttle position from forward or re-
verse gear simply push the throttles toward the bow in
forward gear or pull the throttles toward the stern in re-
verse gear until the desired revolutions per minute (rpm's)
is found.
2. You will learn to synchronize (engines running at the
same rpm) both engine throttles to the tachometers with
experience. You will need to make minor adjustments
while cruising to your remote control throttle handles.
Eventually your ear will sense whether both engines are
running at the same speed and rpm.
