14. Select [OK].
15. Select [3. Measure...].
16. Select [Begin] and follow the on-screen prompts as the X-rite
Spectrophotometer scans a series of strips on the test target.
A set of Tonal Reproduction Curves (TRCs) are generated.
17. When all strips have been scanned, select [OK] when the
"Calibration Complete" message pops up.
18. The results of the scan will be displayed on the System
Calibration window for each color channel TRC for the current
state of the system. Each color channel can be viewed alone
by selecting the associated check box. Each TRC is
associated with the stock and up to five different TRCs can be
stored for calibration.
NOTE: Selecting [Close] will terminate the calibration process.
Selecting [Revert] will allow you to select a previously created
calibration TRC. Selecting [Accept...] will change the system
operation to the newly created TRC. Selecting [Start Over] will
start the calibration process from the beginning.
19. After Accepting the calibration data, select [OK] in the Accept
Calibration Data screen to close the dialog.
20. Select [OK] to close the information dialog.
21. Select [Close] to exit the calibration dialog.
22. Select [Yes] to answer the question dialog. Within the Color
Profiles tab, your calibration date and time will appear for all
stocks associated with the profile. The stock actually
calibrated will be in bold type.
Adding a Halftone Profile
To add a Halftone Profile:
1. Open Color Manager.
2. Select the Associations tab.
3. Right-click in the list. Select [Color Profile: Add Halftone
Profile...]. the Add Halftone Profile dialog appears.
4. From the Halftone drop-box, select the desired value.
5. Select [1. Print Target...].
6. From the Print Boundary dialog, select from the following:
End of Current Job
End of Current Copy
Now
NOTE: The default quantity is 5 copies.
7. Select a quantity to print using the spin box.
8. Select [OK].
