NOTE: Sheets greater than 14.3 inches (or 363 mm) in
one dimension feed short edge first. Therefore, the larger
measurement for these stocks must be entered as the
width instead of the length.
Minimum and Maximum Sheet Weight indicates the
minimum and maximum sheet weight that can be
processed by the finishing device.
Minimum and Maximum Set Size indicates the
largest and smallest number of sheets that can be
processed by the device in a set (for example, sets of
pages that will be stapled or drilled together).
NOTE: The parameters that you enter in these fields are
the properties and limits for one configuration of the
finishing device. Your entries on this window do not have
to be the same as those in the equivalent fields on the
device profile, which are the default parameters for the
device itself.
c. Select [OK] to save the new finisher profile and close the
dialog. The profile appears in the External Finishers profile
list on the Finishing tab.
NOTE: If you want to create another finisher profile for the
same device, repeat the process for as many profiles as
you want to set up.
5. Placing device profiles online: After you have set up a finishing
device and created one or more profiles for it, you must place
it online to make the hardware available for access.
NOTE: Only one device profile can be online at a time.
Right-click the profile you want to modify and select
[Online] from the menu. The change is reflected in the
Online field in the External Finishers Profile list.
6. Enabling a finisher profile: Before a profile can be accessed by
the printing system software, you must enable it in the finisher
profiles list.
Right-click the profile you want to enable and select
[Enable] from the menu. The Status field changes to
Enabled.
7. Disabling a finisher profile.
Right-click the profile you want to disable and select
[Disable] from the menu. The Status field changes to
Disabled.
Automatic Set Recovery option
Automatic Set Recovery (ASR) ensures that each set of a job is
communicated within the system. DFA is monitored such that any
set not delivered to the final DFA destination is automatically
