copy a queue if an existing queue already contains most of the
attributes you need for a new queue.
NOTE: Each queue option dialog contains an override setting.
Select Override if you want the queue settings to take precedence
over any attributes programmed with individual jobs.
The limit for the number of queues that can be created on a
DocuSP system is 250. However, the number of possible
AppleTalk connections is 128, and it is inadvisable to use a large
number of AppleTalk queues, since this practice will degrade
system performance. On systems with the AppleTalk license
disabled, 250 queues can be set up without performance
degradation.

Creating a new queue
Create a new queue when you need to control the flow or handling
of documents in different ways.
To create a new queue:
1. Open Queue Manager.
2. From the Queue pull-down menu select [New...]. The New
Queue dialog opens.
3. In the Queue Name field, enter a meaningful name that will
help you identify the queue. For example, if the queue is set to
release jobs, the name may be PRINTER20RELEASE. The
name may consist of letters and/or numbers and can have up
to 25 characters, including underscores.
NOTE: When creating a queue to be used for lp/lpr printing,
the queue name must be limited to 14 characters. A queue
name longer than 14 characters will not be visible to the lp/lpr
gateway. This is a limitation of the gateway.
NOTE: The Printer Name is read only. It contains the name of
the connected printer.
4. Select a quantity to indicate the number of job sets that will be
printed for all jobs sent to this queue unless a different quantity
is specified in the job, itself. Select a number between 1 and
65,500.
Select [Override] if you want the Quantity setting to take
precedence over programming associated with individual jobs.
5. Set a priority from 1 (highest priority) to 100 (lowest priority) for
the queue. The default priority setting is 50.
Each queue for the printer is assigned a priority. The priority
tells the system the order in which the queues should be
processed. All jobs in the queue with the highest priority are
