A saved tray setting created on a monochrome or highlight
color system, can only be restored on a monochrome or
highlight color system. A mapping created on a full color
system, can only be restored on a full color system.
The following conditions do not cause errors, but may affect
output:
If the saved tray settings contain more trays than the
system you are loading it on, you are notified that the
system will load the tray settings only on those trays that
are available.
If the saved tray settings contain less trays than the
system you are loading it on, you are notified that only the
trays that were saved will be programmed.
Deleting tray settings
The System Administrator or Operator can delete existing saved
tray settings.
To delete tray settings:
1. Open Printer Manager.
2. Select the Paper Trays tab.
3. Select a tray and perform one of the following:
Right-click and select [Save Settings...].
Select [Save Settings...] from the Tray menu.
4. You can delete tray settings either individually or in groups.
Click a single file name, or to select more than one file name
perform one of the following:
To select individual file names, press and hold down the
<CTRL> (Control) key and select each individual file
name.
To select multiple file names that are adjacent to one
another, press and hold down the <SHIFT> key and select
the first and last file names you want to delete. This
highlights the first and last file name lines and all lines in
between.
5. Select [Delete].
6. Select [Yes] to delete the files from the list.
Loading saved tray settings
The System Administrator or Operator can configure different tray
settings for individual job requirements, and then load each tray
setting when needed. You can program one job to use 8.5" x 14"/
white stock and another for 8.5" x 11"/blue stock. This eliminates
the need to reprogram trays each time you run different jobs.
