Printer Finishing Options

– Properties: View and edit external finisher properties.
– New: Set up a new finishing profile.
– Delete: Delete a finisher profile.
– Import Profile: Import an external finisher profile.
– Export Profile: Export an external finisher profil.e
– Online/Offline: Indicates whether the finisher is online or
offline.
– Enable: Enables the selected finisher.
– Disable: Disables the selected finisher.
– Device Setup
– Select All: Highlights all finishers.
– Clear All: Deselects all the finishers which are highlighted.
• View menu:
– Show Toolbar: Selecting this option displays an
assortment of tools that correspond to common tasks.
– Hide Toolbar: This option, which is only available when
the toolbar is displayed, will toggle the display of the
toolbar off.
– Redisplay: This option refreshes the contents of the
finisher list.
• Toolbar: Toolbar icons enable you to access frequently used
features. Move the cursor over each icon to see a description.
The finishing options available for use with the printing system
depend upon the finishing capabilities of the printer. The internal
finishing devices covered in this section include the stitcher and
the binder. Information on the stacker is covered in Setting up and
using the stacker. External finishing options include any DFA level
1-compliant finishers that can be attached to the printer.
The Finishing tab enables you to perform the following tasks:
• Set binder properties: The binder enables you to finish print
jobs by adding a tape binding on the edge.
• Enable or disable the stitcher, binder, and stapler.
• Set up external finishers: System Administrators can create
and manage the configuration of third-party finishing devices,
including:
– Setup devices and finishers.
– Create a device profile.
– Create a finisher profile.
– Placing a device profile online.
